Important reminder regarding the "Annual" license renewal, and the reporting of completed continuing education: Effective July 1, 2017, all licensees shall renew his/her license annually, on or before June 30, and shall be subject to the annual license renewal fee of $145.00. Annual license renewal includes the submission of a 2 page renewal application and the payment of the annual renewal fee. The reporting of completed continuing education remains on the same two year cycle, therefore, every odd numbererd renewal year (2017, 2019, 2021, 2023, etc.) the LPC shall include, with their 2 page renewal application and annual renewal fee, their completed Continuing Education. 2019 LPC Annual License Renewal -
For the LPC with the license #2186 or below and an issue date of June 30, 2015 or before, you have the following two (2) options to renew your license:

The online link times out after 20 minutes, therefore, the LPC will have 20 minutes to complete the online application.
The online option includes eight (8) screens requesting information related to your contact information, your counseling specialty areas, and the continuing education training you completed during the biennium reporting period (2017-2019). Therefore, before proceeding to the online link, please ensure you have all your information, including your continuing education certificates, on hand and you are ready to key in your information.
The final step and screen requires a debit or credit card payment of the annual license renewal fee of $145.00. There is a convenience fee, charged by the WV Treasury Office, of $3.26 added to the annual renewal fee making your total payment $148.26. (WVBEC does not receive the $3.26.)
You must PRINT a copy of your renewal documents and online payment receipt for your records. It is highly recommended that you use the "print screen" key to print your responses before you navigate forward to the next screen. Please also print your receipt and confirmation page for your credit card payment.

Please first print and thoroughly read the 'Instructions' and 'Checklist' before proceeding to the 2-page renewal application and CE recording form.
After completion of the documents, sign and date page 2 of the renewal application. Please make a copy of all your materials for your records and mail your packet of materials to the Board address provided on the form.
