The 2017 LPC Renewal packets will be emailed to the LPC in March 2017. Please be sure WVBEC has your current email address. You may update the board with your email address and contact information by completing and forwarding the Update Form found at the Update Contact Info. Tab.
The packet will also be available for download on our website.
For the LPC with the expiration date of 6/30/2015:
Series 3, Renewal Rules states:
3.9. All licenses not renewed by the renewal date each renewal cycle shall expire. Any individual who has not renewed his or her license and who continues to practice after his or her license has been expired will be deemed guilty of unlicensed practice.

3.11. After the 60 days (of the expiration date), individuals with expired licenses may reinstate their license upon payment of a renewal fee and a reinstatement fee. This includes the renewal application, recording form and all the continuing education certificates.
You will need to include the $250 reinstatement fee, with the renewal fee and your 2015 LPC Renewal Application Packet. Your materials must be mailed to the board and postmarked on or before 6/30/2017.
*After June 30, 2017 - 2 years beyond the expiration date, your license is considered lapsed and in order to regain LPC licensure you will need to RE-apply for licensure and will fall under the current licensing rule in which a 60 hour master's degree in counseling is required and 14 content areas within that master's will also need to be fulfilled (per Series 1, Licensing Rule, effective July 1 2007, or current rule at the time the LPC reapplies for licensure.)
